2007威尼斯影展竞赛片丶2007纽约影展开幕片丶入选2007台北金马影展强片片单的「the darjeeling limited」是学院派新锐导演wes anderson的喜剧新作，由奥斯卡金像奖影帝安德烈布洛迪(战地琴人)丶好莱坞笑匠欧文威尔森(西域威龙丶冲出封锁线)丶以及杰森薛兹曼(都是爱情惹的祸)饰演个性古怪丶近一年未互相连络的三兄弟，在他们挚爱的父亲过世後，决定安排一趟横跨印度的
火车之旅，企图探索自我同时藉机重拾兄弟情谊。

filmcritic.com影评chris cabin盛赞本片是wes anderson迄今最棒的作品，大方给予四颗星好评；纽约时报影评则形容「the darjeeling limited」宛如精心打造的手工艺品，是部能触动心灵丶引发共鸣的情绪佳作。正片之前还有一支由jason schwartzman丶natalie portman(星际大战)主演丶名为「hotel chevalier」的13分钟短片，natalie portman在片中有令人惊艳的大胆全裸演出。

「the darjeeling limited」除了成熟展现wes anderson揉合幽默喜剧与动人戏剧性丶别人难以模仿的电影风格，同时也深刻流露出他独树一帜的音乐敏锐度。继上一部作品 「zissou」配乐全数选用david bowie经典歌曲之後， 「the darjeeling limited」将流行摇滚丶古典音乐与印度电影配乐完美交融！已过世的知名印度导演与配乐大师satyajit ray与多才多艺音乐组合shankar jaikishan的早期作品，为电影彩绘道地的印度色彩；由60年代掀起英国british beat风潮的重量级乐团the kinks所演唱，选自乐团’70年畅销大作「lola versus powerman and the moneygoround, part one」中的三首歌曲“powerman”丶“strangers”丶“this time tomorrow”，the rolling stones/滚石合唱团的’65年排行曲“play with fire”，以及已故法国流行巨星joe dassin的轰动曲“les champs-elysees”…则巧妙的扮演了勾动情绪的情感催化剂；再搭配乐圣贝多芬的交响名曲丶与古典钢琴家alexis weissenberg精湛演奏印象乐派大师德布西的作品，一同交织成这张菜色丰美的电影配乐佳肴！
