「I think he’s taken a bit of a shine to you.」（我想他有點喜歡你。）

在 1983 年電影《俘虜》（Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence》中，英國軍官向同樣軟禁於俘虜營的同袍少校傑克悄聲說了這句話，意指看守他們的日軍上尉世野井似乎對於立場敵對的傑克暗生情愫。

飾演世野井上尉的，是時年剛過 30 歲的坂本龍一。劇中的他軍裝筆挺、不苟言笑，唯有面對大衛鮑伊飾演的傑克時才亂了方寸。然而在軍紀嚴明的日本軍隊中，一切個人私欲都必須為了國家和武士道精神犧牲。偶爾舉手投足的失措，已經是最大程度的情感宣洩。

年初坂本龍一過世後，回聲樂團想起以往他們演唱會前後，總會播放幾首坂本教授的名曲；也想起他在最後的演奏會上圓滿至善的琴音；當然還有《俘虜》時期，坂本龍一才華出眾，年輕而不可一世的神情。那些記憶中的聲音與畫面，在一夜的摸索後長出了新歌「Take a Shine」。除了開頭的和弦取自電影同名曲〈Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence〉，更邀請受坂本龍一影響至深的「金獎配樂大師」侯志堅擔綱製作編曲。懷舊和傷感的氛圍背後，藏著他們對於坂本龍一發自內心的想念和感謝。歌詞既是詮釋世野井上尉始終未能說出口的心境，又像遙寄一代音樂傳奇的溫柔情書。
